Ms. Kameshwari Subramanian (Retd. IRS)

A retired senior officer of the Indian Customs and Excise, Ms. Subramanian holds a MA Degree in Psychology. She has worked as a Post Graduate lecturer in Mysore University. She joined the Indian Civil Service in the Customs and Central Excise Service in 1980. During her tenure, she worked in an array of departments and in an international organization dealing with customs in Brussels and Belgium; she retired after 35 years of service. She is an international expert on Trade Facilitation and Customs Legislation and continues to work as an international consultant. She presently does volunteer work with organizations working on concerns of women abuse. She is actively promoting the concept of gender equality amongst school children and volunteers as an advisor to the Board of a school for children with special needs on the spectrum and functions as an external member in the POSH committees of several companies.
